Today, there are multiple platforms and genres of games, including niche themes and settings. This collection is inspired by a video game that combines puzzle-solving, survival theme and a horror setting, Poppy Playtime.

First developed and published in 2021, Poppy Playtime is set in an abandoned factory belonging to a toy company named Playtime Co. The player joins the game as a formal employee invited to the factory, years after all the staff went missing, and soon, must run for their lives after discovering there are living monstrous toys trying to kill them.

The fifth installation of the video game, released on February 18, 2026, Poppy Playtime Chapter 5: Broken Things, sees the unfolding of a plan to end “The Prototype”, the mastermind, and his reign of terror and torment.
