May Coloring Pages Printable (May Day Coloring Pages Included)

Seasonal change is in the making as the year nears its halfway mark, with the last of the spring days slowly transitioning to the warmth of summer. In today’s collection, I bring you coloring pages inspired by the transitional month of May.

May, the fifth month of the Gregorian calendar, is named after Maius or mensis Maius, the third month in the ancient Roman calendar. One theory suggests May is named after the Greek goddess Maia or the Roman goddess of fertility, Bona Dea. Another believes it originates from Latin maiores for “elders”, with June, the following month, named after Latin iuniores, meaning “young people”.
