23 February Coloring Pages

If January is the peak of the winter season, then February signals the slow start of the seasonal change when the first signs of spring begin to show. It’s also a month that celebrates love through Valentine’s Day. Today’s collection of coloring pages looks at all things that stand for and get celebrated in February.

February gets its name from the Februarius month of the old Roman calendar, derived from the Roman purification ritual Februa, originating from Latin Februum, meaning purification. Unlike the other months, which are about 30 or 31 days, February has only 28 days in common years consisting of 365 days. During leap year when there are 366 days, February is composed of 29 days.
